Palmera Residence: One apartment viewing

Entrance sign for Palmera Residence

The apartment where we previously lived had been sold, so we urgently needed a new home. One viewing took us to Palmera Residence, in a quiet part of the East Coast around Telok Kurau. For us, the immediate surroundings felt a little too sleepy, although someone seeking calm might see that as an advantage.

The apartment we viewed in 2023 had three small bedrooms plus a study, two bathrooms and about 120 m² of space. Its asking rent at the time was S$5,800 per month; this is a historical viewing snapshot, not a current listing.

On this particular viewing, the pool and rooms felt smaller than they appeared in the listing photos, the first level was occupied by parking, and the interior showed more wear than we expected. It was not the right apartment for us, although another unit or another tenant might leave a different impression.
