Polls
Polls show actual responses saved on this website’s hosting account. They are informal reader feedback, not a representative survey. Nothing is loaded until you choose to load responses or send a reply.
A necessary cookie called bl_reader contains a random signed browser identifier. It lasts up to one year and helps keep one answer per browser per question. The server stores a hashed identifier with your choice. You can change your answer or use “Remove my answer” to delete it. Clearing cookies or using another browser means your previous answer cannot be recognised.
Abuse protection temporarily keeps a keyed, daily-changing hash of the connecting IP address with request counts. Entries expire after one hour and are removed on later requests. This is not used for advertising or analytics. The hosting provider may also keep its standard access logs.
Replies
Your name, email and message go to the existing Banana Lemon Singapore WordPress moderation queue. Replies submitted here are held for review before publication. Your email is not displayed and does not subscribe you to anything. WordPress also receives the usual connection information, including the IP address and browser information, for comment processing and spam prevention.
Approved names and replies can appear on both versions of the website. To request a correction or removal, contact Denya through Instagram or Facebook, identifying the story and reply. Please do not submit sensitive personal information.
Maps and local reading preferences
The map only connects to Google after you choose to load it. Google receives the requests needed to display its embedded map, and its privacy policy applies. The list of stories works without loading the map.
Saved stories and reading-trail progress stay in your browser’s local storage. They are not uploaded or synchronised between devices. You can clear them using your browser’s website-data controls.
This preview does not add its own analytics or advertising trackers. Embedded Google services have their own policies.
